Our Philadelphia Charity Work

Hughes Cosmetic Surgery is heavily involved with local charities. Dr. Hughes regularly sponsors charities that benefit the young, elderly, and those with medical conditions such as diabetes and breast cancer. Whether it be donating directly to charitable organizations, participating in fundraisers, or running those functions themselves, Hughes Cosmetic Surgery and Dr. Hughes are directly involved in a number of good causes. For example, in March of 2010, Dr. Hughes donating $8,000 to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

In February of 2011, Dr. Hughes assisted Cradles to Crayons, an organization that brings items of necessity, such as clothes, shoes, and books, to children living in poverty. Dr. Hughes used her facility as a donation center, accepting items of all kinds for Cradle-to-Crayon’s annual spring drive. She auctioned off a year’s worth of BOTOX as an incentive for people bringing in their donations

In April of 2011, Dr. Hughes held the Best Buddy makeover in honor of female empowerment. By hosting a double special, she prepared local women and their best friends for a contest held by Girlfriendz magazine. Those receiving the special were able to receive 25 units of BOTOX a piece, a chemical peel, and a collagen stimulating light treatment. The winners of the contest received a cosmetic package from Dr. Hughes’s clinic valued at $1700, as well as having them and their best friend’s pictures and stories printed in the magazine.

In September of 2011, Dr. Hughes assisted the Little Smiles organization, a charity regional to the area, in preparation for a Halloween event. Dr. Hughes accepted candy and costumes for Little Smiles, incenting her patients with coupons redeemable for her services, as well as raffled off prizes. Several other vendors, such as Gucci and Christian Louboutain, were on hand in the clinic’s parking lot raffling and selling off their own products – with all proceeds going to the Little Smiles Halloween party.

In November of 2011, which is National Diabetes month, Dr. Hughes is teaming up with the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) to host an event. The event includes a Q&A about Type-1 Diabetes, hosted by Dr. Hughes herself, as well as steep discounts on services such as BOTOX, ZELTIQ, Latisse, and Juvederm. Raffled items are such as Gucci and Michael Kors handbags. Also on hand is Springdale Farms, a local area farm, selling baked goods with an autumn themed pie tasting area.
